BLANCHARD, Idaho – A pickup truck attempted to speed past a slow-moving vehicle on State Highway 41 and accidentally collided with a young person driving a Yamaha dirt bike near Blanchard Saturday night.
According to Idaho State Police, the crash killed both the minor and the driver of the truck.
“The Toyota driver was not wearing his seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries on scene. The driver of the dirt bike succumbed to his injuries on scene as well,” police said.
The families of both people killed in the collision have been notified.
