YAKIMA, Wash. – The 2024 Law Enforcement Explorers Academy hosted at the Yakima Training Center included young people considering careers in policing from across the Evergreen State.
Washington State Patrol was in attendance, and worked with young people including students considering joining the Spokane Police Department.
The WSP Explosive Detection Canine Team also attended the academy to demonstrate how police identify hidden explosive devices.
It was an opportunity for current police and sheriff’s deputies to work with the next generation of public safety professionals.
