OKANOGAN, Wash. – Washington State Patrol reports that a crash on State Route 155 near Okanogan killed one teenager and injured four others on Tuesday.
According to WSP, Jaelynn Vallee, 17, was driving three teens and a 3-year-old along the highway when she failed to negotiate a curve around 9:30 p.m.struck a rocky shoulder, and lost control on the blacktop.Vallee left the roadway and struck a rocky shoulder causing her to lose control on the blacktop. The car rolled multiple times before landing upright on the southbound shoulder.The passengers, ranging in age from 13 to 3-years-old, were not wearing seatbelts.Vallee died in the crash, and it is unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved.The condition of the other passengers is currently unknown.
