SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Two dogs were saved in a house fire in Otis Orchards as firefighters still try to contact the homeowners.
The Spokane Valley Fire Department responded around 7 a.m. to the 5000 block of North Campbell Road after bystanders reported the fire from the porch.
Two dogs were saved from the fire and the damage spread from the porch to the kitchen and eventually reaching the attic.
There are no injuries in the incident and the fire department contacted SCRAPS to assist in taking care of the dogs until the homeowners can be reached.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
