Campaign highlighting health and well-being debuts in eastern Washington

SPOKANE, Wash. – A new Washington Department of Health campaign highlighting smart wellness practices debuted in eastern Washington Friday.

“Be Well WA” was unveiled at an event hosted at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture. Washington Secretary of Health Dr. Umair Shah hopes that the new programming will bring more public attention to the four pillars of wellness; emotional well-being, movement, nourishment and social connection.

A new page on the Department of Health’s website offers information on each pillar and best practices for staying healthy. In the many public health metrics from their lowest points during the emergency, but health officials still see room for improvement.
