KOOSKIA, Idaho — One person is dead, and one kid is injured following a motorcycle crash east of Kooskia on Highway 12.
According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), a crash on August 17 around 3:58 p.m. left a 61-year-old motorcycle driver from Spokane dead after he tried to pass a vehicle on Highway 12 at milepost 76.
The man who was driving the motorcycle and a minor passenger were then hit by the car they tried to pass as the vehicle attempted to turn left. ISP notified the next of kin.
Both riders were wearing a helmet, and the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene. The minor passenger was life-flighted to a nearby hospital.
ISP is investigating this incident.
