MOSES LAKE, Wash. – A man has been hospitalized after 3 vehicles crashed into each other north of Moses Lake on Tuesday.
Early investigations from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office show that Jose Rivera, 43, was driving northbound on Stratford Road when he was hit from behind making a left turn onto Union Road NE.
Rivera was struck by Martha McDonald, 60, and she rotated and was then struck on her driver’s side by an oncoming motorcycle.
Colby Ralton, 29, was driving the motorcycle and was ejected and seriously injured when he hit McDonald.
Ralton was transported to Samaritan Healthcare and Rivera and McDonald declined medical treatment.
McDonald received a violation for following to close and causing the crash.
Ralton received violations for first-degree driving while license suspended, failing to have an ignition interlock, infraction for following too close and causing a collision and infraction for having no motorcycle endorsement.
The factors into the collision are still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Motor Traffic Unit.
