The ban has been in effect since July 26, and effects all public land in Washington Counties.

The fire restriction resurfaced as the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office posted a reminder to the public.

The release stated that public land managed by the Bureau of Land Managment and Bureau of Reclamation was restricted but did not mention anything about private land.

The restriction outlined that any firearm may not be discharged unless used in a lawful hunt.

Other restriction still in effect are smoking in areas of timber or grass, operating any motorized vehicle off developed roadways, parking vehicles off roadways near flammable material, building or attending a fire or stove fire and discharging fireworks.
