Man crashes car into Spokane Valley Mall leaving giant hole

SPOKANE, Wash. – A man crashed into the side of the Spokane Valley Mall causing injuries and leaving a car-sized hole.

A Spokane Valley Mall security employee found the car around 1:30 a.m. and alerted law enforcement.

Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to the crash that was quickly upgraded to an extrication as the man was stuck inside his car.

The man crashed into the JCPenney wall and was stopped inside the store.

SVFD worked quickly to try and rescue the man and eventually were able to pull him from the back window of his car.

The man was taken to the hospital and was said to be doing ok, but his exact injuries are unknown.

NonStop Local has reached out to JCPenney for comment or status of the store but have not heard back.
