SPOKANE, Wash. – The City of Spokane awarded $50,000 grant to improve transportation systems.
The grant from City Thread will require a local $15,000 match from the city that will offset the total award.
This comes after Mayor Brown announced her that was recently implemented after the death of
“We are hopeful that developing an Accelerated Mobility Playbook with City Thread will help us reach our goals of creating a community where access to services, education, and employment opportunities is available to everyone, regardless of mobility options,” Mayor Brown said.
The program will support the city’s goal to help better connect communities by improving public transportation.
“The Accelerated Mobility Playbook grant’s goal of garnering broad-based community support for the implementation of multimodal infrastructure will further assist the City in meeting its goals.” Public Works Director Marlene Feist said.
