SPOKANE, Wash. – A man attempted to hitch a ride on the back of a semi truck merging onto the freeway near downtown Spokane Friday.
According to Washington State Patrol, the man jumped on the truck near the Thor/Freya onramp. Troopers pulled the semi over on the freeway. Just as the truck began to stop, the man jumped from the vehicle and climbed up the freeway barrier, running away from troopers.
WSP reminds the public that attempting to ride on the back of a truck or car on the freeway is both dangerous and illegal.
