County Line wildfire near Worley sparks evacuations

WORLEY, Idaho – A wildfire started near Worley on Saturday afternoon.

According to the US National Weather Service, the fire sparked go now evacuations for the area around Worley Mountain and McCartney Butte.

The Idaho Department of Lands said that the fire was approximately 40 acres as of 1:30 p.m., with several fire engines and air units addressing the flames.

Kootenai County Emergency Management issued Go Now and Get Set evacuations for the fire at 1:35 p.m. alongside an evac map.
