Motorcycle hits deer in Okanogan County

CORDELL, Wash. – A motorcyclist hit a deer while driving in Okanogan County Sunday afternoon.

According to Washington State Patrol (WSP), the cyclist was driving southbound on State Route 97 when a deer jumped into the roadway. The motorcycle hit the animal, causing a crash.

The 69-year-old driver was taken to the hospital. WSP says that he was properly wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
