PINEHURST, Idaho — Starting Thursday, the Idaho Transportation Department will resurface a 9-mile stretch of Interstate 90 from River Road near Cataldo to Pinehurst.

According to the department, the project will involve milling the road surface and applying new asphalt, running Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with completion expected by early October.

Daytime single-lane closures will occur where milling has taken place. Several ramps will have intermittent nighttime closures but will remain open during the day. Affected ramps include:

– Exit 39 at Mission Road

– Exit 40 at Latour Creek Road

– Exit 43 at Kingston

– Exit 45 at Pine Creek

The department said that digital signs will provide updates on ramp closures. Motorists, especially motorcyclists, should use caution when transitioning between milled and unmilled lanes. The project will be coordinated with ongoing work at the I-90 Coeur d’Alene River Bridges. For real-time updates, check the Idaho 511 system.
