COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – A 19-year-old man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for battery after he sexually assaulted a babysitter.
Gunner Ray Hankel was staying as a guest in a home in January when he forcible penetrated a 16-year-old babysitter with his fingers who was asleep at the time.
Hankel was serving a previous probation for lewd conduct with a minor under sixteen after he sexually abused a 7-year-old in 2018.
Hankel was found guilty of battery with intent to commit a serious felony on Sept. 10.
A district judge sentenced Hankel to 20 years in prison with eligibility for parole in 10 years.
