Convicted Spokane murderer sentenced to over 15 Years in prison for violent assaults

SPOKANE, Wash. – A convicted Spokane murderer was sentenced to nearly 16 years in prison after reaching a plea agreement.

Avondre C. Graham, 29, was sentenced to nearly 16 years in prison on Thursday after reaching a plea agreement with the court. Graham, previously convicted of second-degree murder in 2012, was a suspect in several violent assaults dating back to 2022.

in the downtown area. Following the investigation, he was charged and booked into the Spokane County Jail for second-degree assault with sexual motivation and resisting arrest. Detectives later linked him to another violent assault that occurred in September 2022.

Graham pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree assault—domestic violence—and one count of third-degree assault with sexual motivation. As part of the plea deal, lifetime protection orders were issued.

Graham, a two-time convicted felon, has a history of violent incidents, including . His criminal history also includes a robbery conviction stemming from a separate attack on a woman that occurred after the murder. He was released from prison in early 2022 after serving 10 years.
