WASHINGTON, D.C. – John Repsold, the senior pastor at Mosaic Spokane, offered the daily opening prayer before the US Congress Friday morning.
Repsold’s prayer focused on unity and bringing Americans together during his brief Friday morning address.
“We all know everything’s sort of hyper polarized at this point, one thing that can bring us together is God himself,” Repsold said.
Repsold is not the first religious leader from Spokane to offer the morning prayer before Congress. Father Patrick Conroy, a Jesuit from Spokane, was the official chaplain for the House from 2011 to 2021.
