TROY, Idaho – Residents in Troy are being advised to boil their water before drinking it. This notice comes after traces of E. Coli were found in the city’s water supply.
According to Pullman Radio News, the bacteria were detected on Saturday. E. Coli generally originates from human or animal waste.
Officials believe the contamination could have been caused by recent heavy rains.
The city aims to lift the boil order within the week.
