Power outage disrupts services in Boundary County

BOUNDARY COUNTY, Idaho – A widespread power outage has shut down many administrative services in Boundary County.

The Boundary County Courthouse is closed until power is restored. All related services are currently unavailable.

Despite the power outage, the main county landfill remains open. However, all transfer stations are closed for the day.

Emergency services, including fire, police, and emergency medical, continue to operate during the outage. The driver license office in the County Annex building is also still open.

Most gas stations in the area are without power. The nearest operational gas station is in Samuels.

The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office is available to assist residents with oxygen needs or other medical emergencies. Those in need can call 208-267-3151, extension 0.
