QUINCY, Wash. – A freight train fire broke out near Quincy Saturday night and was quickly put out by Grant County Fire District #3.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the fire began at Road W-Northwest and Baird Springs Road-Northwest eight miles from Quincy. Everyone on the train was evacuated around 8 p.m. and the fire was out by 8:35 p.m. as firefighters promptly extinguished the flames.
