OLYMPIA, Wash. – A new energy and utility assistance program will make $35 million to Washingtonians to aid the transition to carbon neutral heating and cooling solutions.
According to the Department of Commerce, the new State Home Energy Assistance Program is funded by the Climate Commitment Act and will help citizens who make up to 80% of the median area income transition to better climate solutions.
The funding will allow for energy bill assistance as well as weatherization improvements like the installation for electric heat pumps.
