SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane caregiver appeared in court on Monday facing allegations of abusing a 12-year-old girl with disabilities.

According to court documents, Clayton Johnson, 25, was caring for the girl on September 27 at around 5 p.m. While the girl was strapped into a walker, she attempted to lift her right foot. Johnson allegedly kicked it back down. Later, police who reviewed video footage reported that the girl’s walker hit a bump on the sidewalk, prompting her to lift her foot again. Johnson is accused of stomping on her foot and then aggressively grabbing her shoulder to pull her up.

Police said that while the victim had no visible injuries, there was a big size difference between Johnson and the girl.

During Monday’s court appearance, Johnson’s bond was set at $5,000.
