Investigators stated that earlier that evening, the woman called her father, Richard, reporting that Robinson was at her house and there was trouble between them. The woman informed her father that Robinson was now armed with a gun and had also grabbed a razor and a pocketknife, initially appearing to threaten self-harm.

Robinson instructed the woman to call 911, claiming he would tell her what to say when dispatchers answered. At 7:20 p.m., he called 911, pretending to be Vanessa, and told dispatchers that “she” was being held at gunpoint by her boyfriend and to “please send somebody!”

Deputies were dispatched, with Gosline and another deputy being the first to arrive. Upon arrival, they peered through a large window into the living room and observed Robinson physically confronting the woman while yelling at her.

He currently faces criminal charges for his actions against the woman that night.

The prosecutor’s office said that subsequent investigations revealed Robinson was armed with a BB gun, which “closely resembled an actual semi-automatic handgun.”
