Traffic delays on I-90 in Spokane Valley expected to begin at 9 p.m. for construction

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Drivers on I-90 in Spokane Valley should expect traffic delays on Sunday and Monday night because of construction.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), construction crews will install a Variable Message Sign starting Sunday, Oct. 6, from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. on Monday. Construction will continue Monday from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The right lane of eastbound I-90 at milepost 288.77, near University Road, will close at 9 p.m. and at 10 p.m., the two right lanes will be closed.

According to WSDOT, their crews will conduct traffic control. WSDOT has asked drivers to be aware of the active work zones and to slow down.
