SPOKANE, Wash. – A car caught on fire along I-90 early Wednesday that blocked lanes near the Altamont exit.
The right lane of I-90 heading east near the Altamont exit was blocked for several hours during the fire and has since reopened.
The fire was reported just after 4:30 a.m., forcing the closure of the lane. While it is unknown if anyone was inside the car at the time of the fire, first responders have been present on the shoulder of the road.
A video captured this morning shows flames coming off the car and blocking lanes.
Drivers are still urged to exercise caution as they travel through the area. Authorities are advising motorists to be mindful of emergency vehicles that may still be present.
