Important election deadlines Idaho voters should look out for

IDAHO — Election Day is less than a month away and Idaho’s voting deadlines are approaching.

Election Day is Nov. 5, and polling locations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Where you vote will depend on where you live, but if you cannot submit your ballot on Tuesday, there are other ways you can do your civil duty.

Idaho voters can vote early starting Oct. 21 and have until Nov. 1 to vote at an early or absentee voting location. Some counties in Idaho, including Nez Perce, Boundary, Franklin and Benewah counties, have already begun voting early. Dates may vary depending on which county you plan to vote. You can see when early voting starts at the 2024 Idaho General Election | VoteIdaho.Gov.

If you are filling out an absentee ballot, you have until Oct. 25 to request it. It must be returned to your county election by 8:00 p.m. on Nov. 5. You can request an absentee ballot here.
