University of Idaho sees record-breaking freshman class enrollment

MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho announced this year’s freshman class is the largest in history.

According to the university, this fall, 2,025 first-year students enrolled, marking an 8.3% increase from last year and a 3.7% increase in overall enrollment. Out of the freshman class, 747 students are also recipients of the new Idaho Launch scholarship that provides students with a one-time opportunity to have 80% of their tuition and fees covered.

The University of Idaho said that it had a third record-breaking freshman class and has seen enrollment growth for the past seven consecutive semesters. Alongside their success with enrollment, U of I has been ranked for the fifth year in a row as the best-value public university in the West by U.S. News & World Report.
