PHOENIX, Ariz. – Lori Vallow’s murder trial in Arizona has been postponed following a request for a full mental evaluation.
Her defense lawyer filed a motion for a “Rule 11” evaluation, which a judge granted on Wednesday.
Vallow faces charges of conspiring in the fatal shooting of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, and plotting the attempted murder of her niece’s ex-husband. Last year, Vallow was extradited to Arizona after receiving a life sentence in Idaho for killing her two youngest children.
In her current trial, two qualified mental health experts will be appointed to examine and evaluate her mental condition.
With the trial vacated, the case will next proceed to a commissioner’s court for further hearings.
