Spokane plane turns back over Montana after fire in cargo hold

SPOKANE, Wash. – A UPS plane en route from Spokane had to make an unexpected return due to a fire in the cargo hold. The Boeing 767 was about to reach Missoula, Montana, around 7:00 a.m. when the incident occurred.

Fortunately, the aircraft landed safely at Spokane International Airport. There were two people on board, and neither were injured.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
