IDAHO — Idaho fishermen are being urged to harvest any walleye they catch in the upstream areas of the Snake and Salmon rivers. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is concerned about the rapid spread of walleye in areas where salmon and steelhead are present.
Anglers have been asked to photograph any walleye they catch in these areas and to report the location and size. This effort aims to track the spread of the species and the impact on juvenile salmon.
