AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – Tyauana Roberson is reaching out to the community for help in finding a cherished stuffed animal that means a great deal to her.
Earlier this year, Roberson’s son Zacharia passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital. His first birthday would have been November 8.
Roberson has been coping with the loss through the comfort of Zacharia’s stuffed animal. The bear, which held a special place in her heart, is now missing, and she is asking for assistance to find it so she can take it to the Pacific Coast.
“My son’s first birthday is on November 8th, and we wanted to take that bear to the coast,” Roberson said.
“I’ve been taking his ashes everywhere… I feel like my dreams are crushed because I cannot do that because I don’t have the bear and I’ve been doing that process with this bear.”
The stuffed animal is especially significant as it contains an urn and a recording of her son’s heartbeat, playing a vital role in Roberson’s grieving journey.
“It would mean the world to me if I got this bear back,” she said. “I loved my son, he was such a light and a joy and just always had a smile, and that bear just brought me so much strength.”
If anyone comes across the stuffed animal, they are asked to contact the Airway Heights Police Department at (509) 244-3707.
