BOISE, Idaho — Thomas Creech, Idaho’s longest-serving death row inmate, was denied a commutation hearing today by the Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole.
According to an email sent to NonStop Local, the commission voted 5 to 1 against the petition filed by Creech’s attorneys, seeking to reduce his death sentence.
. Earlier this year, the state attempted to execute him via lethal injection but was unable to establish an IV line. A new execution date has been set for Nov. 13.
