HELENA, Mont.-The General Election is days away and ballot security is a growing concern after arson attacks directed at two ballot drop-box locations in Washington and Oregon this week.
Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen says the Treasure State is working hard ahead of the election to ensure that voters can securely cast their ballots.
“If folks are concerned we do have security cameras on those drop boxes,” Jacobsen said. “If there’s any concerns at all just take it right to the election office and they’ll check your signature and you’ll be good to go.”
Since the 2020 election Montana has also been working to clean up the voter rolls by asking voters to update their registration information with election officials in their local precincts.
