OTHELLO, Wash. – An Adams County sheriff’s deputy hit a patch of slippery road while responding to a home burglary on Saturday, causing the car to crash into a guardrail.
According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy was responding to a call from someone who woke up to find a burglar in their home.
“The deputy’s vehicle made contact with the side rail after wet roads and urgent response speeds made it difficult to stop in time,” the department said.
No one was hurt in the crash, and the sheriff’s department said that the incident was a good reminder to exercise caution heading into winter driving conditions.
