Spokane County sees over 2,800 rejected ballots ahead of election day

SPOKANE, Wash. – As election day approaches, Spokane County is experiencing a significant number of rejected ballots. According to Secretary of State records, 2,808 ballots have been rejected in the county leading up to election day.

The majority of these rejections, totaling 1,399, are due to signatures not matching. Additionally, 224 ballots were rejected because they were not signed.

Another 47 ballots were rejected because they were signed by someone other than the registered voter. Furthermore, 28 ballots were rejected due to a lack of signature on file for comparison.

As of this morning, 3,725 ballots received on Monday are still pending review and counting.
