OLYMPIA, Wash. – Initial election results show that Dan Newhouse (R) is leading in the polls for Washington’s 4th Congressional District with 51.2 percent of the vote over Jerrod Sessler (R) with 48.8 percent of the vote, according to NBC News.
Newhouse currently represents Washington’s 4th Congressional District and has held the position since 2015.
Sessler has no federally elected experience and is the only candidate endorsed by Donald Trump.
Congressional District 4 encompasses the Washington counties of Adams, Benton, Douglas, Franklin, Grant, Klickitat, Okanogan and Yakima.
