SPOKANE, Wash. – Lewis and Clark High School is in a secure and teach after the school said a ‘vague conversation related to bringing a weapon to school’ happened yesterday.
Updated on Nov. 13 at 9:45 a.m. – The school has resolved the threat and is no longer in secure and teach.
Original coverage on Nov. 13 at 9:00 a.m. – The school district sent out an email to students and families letting them know of the security update as they monitor the situation.
“LC is currently in Secure and Teach due to a vague conversation that occurred yesterday related to bringing a weapon to school. Law enforcement and Campus Safety will be on campus out of an abundance of caution. Please check your email for more. Thank you.”
LC administration said that law enforcement is aware and was alerted immediately to ensure the safety of students and staff.
They reminded families that law enforcement and campus safety will be patrolling campus out of an abundance of caution.
