E. Coli outbreak from bagged carrots most severe in Washington

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a recall on bagged carrots from multiple brands due to an E.Coli outbreak. There are reportedly 8 people sick in Washington State, the highest concentration of E.Coli cases from the carrot outbreak in the US.

According to the CDC, E.Coli infections are linked to whole bagged carrots and baby carrots sold by Grimmway Farms.

39 people have been reported sick by the CDC, with Washington state holding the highest number at 8 people.

The CDC suggests that anyone with recalled carrots throw them away. If you have signs of E.Coli symptoms, call a doctor. The CDC list of E.Coli symptoms is attached below.
