SPOKANE, Wash. – A Mead man was sentenced to nearly four years in prison Thursday for fraudulently collecting $750,000 from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act.
According to the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington, Antonio Feliciano Crawford fraudulently received hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal funding for his own personal gain.
“When our nation and many employers were at their most desperate, Mr. Crawford defrauded those programs providing a lifeline to struggling businesses,” Acting Special Agent in Charge Matthew Murphy said.
The US Attorney’s Office has operated a COVID-19 Fraud Strike Force since 2022.
