Silver Mountain Resort employee injured in accidental gun discharge

KELLOGG, Idaho — An off-duty employee of Silver Mountain Resort was accidentally shot at the top of .

According to a Facebook post from Silver Mountain Resort, on Sunday at around 9 p.m., a Sliver Mountain Resort employee suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported from the summit to receive emergency care.

A spokesperson for the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office said the gun was in the pocket of a man, and when he reached into his pocket, the firearm discharged. Deputies stated they would not conduct an investigation, as the incident was deemed accidental.
