According to a WSP press release, at around 9:30 a.m., a 64-year-old man was driving south on North Park Road at East Trent Avenue. A 20-year-old man was driving west on East Trent Avenue at Park. WSP said the 64-year-old driver entered the intersection and was struck by the 20-year-old driver. Both vehicles came to rest in the westbound lanes of Trent Avenue.
The WSP confirmed that the 64-year-old man died as a result of the crash, while the 20-year-old man was uninjured. The cause of the crash was determined to be failure to yield.
