NEW YORK, N.Y. – Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is facing a financial challenge as a New York State judge has denied his attempt to dismiss a lawsuit over $1.3 million in unpaid legal fees.
The lawsuit stems from a law firm claiming Giuliani owes them money for representing him in several investigations. Giuliani argued that he never received the invoices and that his agreement was with a partner he worked with, not the firm itself.
The law firm stated that Giuliani has already paid over $200,000 in legal fees but has not settled the remaining balance.
The next hearing in the case is set for December 10.
