SPOKANE, Wash. – Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel weeks every year, and this holiday season is no exception. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) anticipates a record number of travelers passing through airports. Tuesday and Wednesday are predicted to be the busiest travel days.
At Spokane International Airport, Lot E, the $6-per-day economy lot, was already full on Tuesday morning.
Travelers parking there have the option to walk 10 to 15 minutes to the terminal or wait for a shuttle.
Typically, only one shuttle operates at a time, running approximately every 15 minutes.
However, a parking supervisor told NonStop Local that Wednesday would be their “big push.” From Wednesday through Sunday, the airport plans to operate two to three shuttles to accommodate the increased crowds.
For those flying this holiday week, the airport advises arriving at least two hours before your flight.
