Spokane police seek suspect after hit-and-run incident involving victim on hood of car

SPOKANE, Wash. – A victim of a hit-and-run jumped on the hood of the suspect’s car, but the driver fled, and Spokane police are still searching for the suspect.

NonStop Local spoke with the victim and confirmed the details with the Spokane Police Department (SPD). The victim said he was struck by a car in the Rosauer’s parking lot in the Brownes Addition neighborhood.

After the incident, the victim followed the suspect to a Chevron gas station in downtown Spokane, where he confronted the driver. Following a brief altercation, the driver attempted to flee, but the victim jumped onto the hood of the car. According to SPD, the suspect then drove recklessly in an effort to shake the victim off. The car eventually fled the scene and was last seen in the South Hill area.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are awaiting further information about the suspect and potential arrests.
