BONNERS FERRY, Idaho – Idaho State Police are investigating a crash involving a person who was hit and injured along US-95 in Bonners Ferry.
A 78-year-old man was driving a 2016 Honda Odyssey when he struck a 45-year-old person attempting to cross the highway outside of a crosswalk.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. on Nov. 26. The injured person was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
The driver and his 69-year-old passenger were unharmed, and both were wearing seatbelts. The current condition of the pedestrian is unknown at this time.
The southbound lane of US-95 was blocked for about two and a half hours, with traffic delays during that time. The road has since reopened.
Local police, fire, and transportation departments assisted at the scene and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
