SPOKANE, Wash. – The Northern Lights are expected to add a touch of color to the skies this Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

An incoming solar storm is predicted to make the auroras visible over the next two nights in the northern part of the country, including Washington and North Idaho.

Experts caution that the Northern Lights may appear brief and faint. They also note that weather conditions, such as cloud cover, could affect visibility.

Residents in these areas may want to keep an eye on the skies for this natural spectacle.
