Christmas tree elegance returns to River Park Square, the Historic Davenport

SPOKANE, Wash. – Every year the Spokane Symphony Associates hosts a 13-day event starting on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving as a part of their biggest annual fundraiser.

Individuals and businesses donate to tree displays with values of up to about $5,000 worth of decorations and prizes. Community members can buy $1 raffle tickets and enter them into any display for a chance to win.

The celebration began back in 1983 comes highly anticipated each year. Volunteers work 11 months of the year to plan the event that over 100,000 people attend annually.

Last year there were 462,529 tickets sold in total, more than any other year.

The trees will be up at River Park Square from December 3-15th this year during regular business hours. River Park Square is open 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The Historic Davenport is open 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. most days.

This event is free to the public! Everyone is welcome to come see all the beautifully decorated trees. Also, if you win a present, you do not need to be there. You will be able to receive it at another time!

Ticket buyers must be 18+ years old. Entry is free, the event is open to the public.
