GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Adams County deputies arrested a suspect in connection with multiple stolen vehicle and burglary cases.
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday afternoon, Adams County deputies and Moses Lake police executed a search warrant in Grant County as part of an investigation into stolen cars and multiple burglaries.
Deputies said that the operation led to the recovery of evidence and stolen property believed to be linked to burglaries in both the Ritzville area of Adams County and Whitman County.
The suspect Tomas Diaz-Layna, a 34-year-old resident of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of multiple offenses, including residential burglary, second-degree burglary, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and first-degree theft.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional arrests as the case develops.
