Airway Heights drug bust results in multiple arrests

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – Police in Airway Heights conducted a drug bust, arresting nine suspects.

According to the Airway Heights Police Department, on June 26, officers and detectives responded to two suspected overdose deaths in the area. An investigation was launched involving multiple agencies, including collaboration with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, as part of an ongoing probe into illegal use of a building for drug-related activities.

Authorities identified a building in Airway Heights suspected of housing drug traffickers and obtained a search warrant for 591 South Easy Street. Airway Heights police and Spokane County deputies executed the warrant with support from the Washington State Department of Corrections Probation Department.

Police reported that over 20 individuals were at the property, engaging in various criminal activities. Nine individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants, according to Airway Heights police. Additionally, 30 people were interviewed and offered services for substance abuse disorders.
