AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – The Airway Heights Police Department says graffiti is becoming an ongoing issue in local parks.
Officers found graffiti at Sunset Park Tuesday in addition to evidence of criminal activity. The sheriff’s office is increasing patrols near local parks, and is asking the public to report any suspicious activity to crime check at (509) 456-2233.
Under Washington law, drawing graffiti on any kind of public or private property is considered “malicious mischief” and can lead to fines or jail time.
